American Idol 5/9/2007 – Top 4 Results
After tonight, only 3 weeks remain! The anticipation is palpable. Tonight, we find out who makes the Top 3 and gets to come home to a parade in their honor. I’m just hoping that Blake is one of those three.
UPDATE: The country is watching your every move. Oh wait, that’s what’s happening for the 4 contestants – if you’re reading this, you still have some semblance of privacy. This is AmErican Idol.
UPDATE: Blake is wearing a fun tux-like t-shirt.
UPDATE: Paula and Simon have switched seats! Who knows why, other than that Simon thinks Jessica Alba is hot.
UPDATE: Ryan already knows the results! That’s dangerous.
UPDATE: I guess we’re stretching this out again tonight – we’ve got a very long recap video.
UPDATE: It was too bad to hear Randy say that Blake doesn’t need to beatbox every song. I think his best performances have been when he beatboxed. In fact, I think his popularity dropped when he just sang, so I applaud him for going after his target audience and trying some fun mixes last night.
UPDATE: It occurs to me that only Melinda is always on key. She’s very good!

UPDATE: The American Idol challenge is so easy, a monkey could do it!
UPDATE: Someone really just messed up – we couldn’t hear Melinda for like 20 seconds! Not that it actually matters, these little group songs don’t count for jack squat.
UPDATE: So what is this Diet Coke Plus? Apparently it’s diet coke plus extra vitamins and minerals? Huh? Back to FFing past the commercials, I just had to finally figure out what that was.
UPDATE: Is Ryan actually about to tell us some results? Nope! He’s just interviewing the group. Dang. At least we know that LaKisha likes kissing Simon. And we found out that Simon’s gf’s name is Terry (or is it Terri?)
UPDATE: Oh the Fantastic Four! That means Jessica Alba! Rise of the Silver Surfer! Now the question is which Silver Surfer?

UPDATE: The American Idol producers want to find the best undiscovered band in America. Ok, I know a guy that can play the drums and a dude that can strum on the guitar a little – watch out America, I’m gonna play the tambourine, and we’re gonna win! Er, maybe not…
UPDATE: You don’t know what it’s like to be forced to sit through a pointless performance when we just want to hear the results! (Barry Gibb is performing a song with the lyrics “you don’t know what it’s like to love somebody.”)

UPDATE: So it’s down to LaKisha and Blake. Randy has no clue who it is. Simon thinks LaKisha’s going home.

UPDATE: Cue up Daughtry, she’s goin Home. She’s had a great Journey. But now we’ve got a Final 3! And that means Blake is coming home to Seattle!
UPDATE: Looks like Blake will be performing in downtown Seattle this Friday. If only I could get off work, I’d go see that!
